Breaking down the IPX80: Exterior Features

The IPX80 is comprised of two pieces: the body and the pod. We'll discuss more about the pod in just a bit, but let's take a look at the mod's features. You might notice first that the IPX80 contains a large 0.96-inch screen on its front. You can use this OLED screen to monitor your settings, track your puffs, and adjust your output wattage settings to up to 80W using the UP/DOWN buttons beneath it.

The mod's bottom houses the Type-C charging port, so you can easily plug in and continue to vape. There's also a unique air inlet ring on the top of the mod - read on to learn what that does.

SMOK IPX80 Specifications

At just 107mm tall with a base surface area of 34.8 by 34.5mm, this sleek little pod device can easily slip into a jacket pocket, a laptop case, a purse, or a car storage console. 

The SMOK IPX80 may be tiny, but it's built with a powerhouse 3000mAh battery, which is charged via the included Type-C cable. Type-C is a high-demand feature for vape devices as it can charge a dead battery to full in half the time of standard USB cables.

SMOK RPM2 Coils

Your IPX80 kit comes with two RPM2 coils. You'll receive a mesh 0.26ohm coil rated for 25-20W and designed for direct to lung inhalation. You'll also get a DC 0.6ohm MTL Coil rated for 12-25W and best used with MTL vaping. 

SMOK RPM 2 replacement coils are easy to install via press-fit and are built to enhance flavor and create larger vapor clouds.

SMOK IPX80 Replacement Pod and Filling Instructions

The SMOK IPX80 pods feature an impressive 5.5ml e-liquid capacity - significantly more than what many other pod devices offer. The pod's mouthpiece features a duckbill design, which is meant to both improve flavor and prevent juice from leaking through the mouthpiece's aperture. The pod's transparent juice chamber helps you track your remaining e-liquid and know when to add more.

To refill, simply remove the pod from the IPX80 mod, pull the leakproof rubber plug out of place from the side of the pod to expose the filling hole, and add up to 5.5ml of e-liquid. Replace the rubber stopper firmly to ensure it seals in the juice and magnetically connect the pod back into the mod. 

IPX80 Airflow Adjustment Feature

One of the most unique features on the IPX80 is the airflow adjustment ring. Yes, many devices and disposable vapes house an airflow ring to allow the user to customize their inhale; it's not a new invention. But unlike other devices that place their airflow adjuster on the very bottom of the mod, the IPX80's is located near the top by the pod connection. This adjuster's size and location decreases the chance of the adjuster turning on its own while being transported in a pocked or purse.
